The Macau is the special administrative regions of the People's Republic of China.

When applying for a child with Chinese parents, the applicant must provide a copy of the child's birth certificate, a copy of the parents' Chinese passports and proof of parents' status in the United States.

Additional requirements for applicants born in China, Taiwan, or Hong Kong:

- Name written in Chinese characters

- Copy of a previously issued Chinese visa or copy of the information page from your Chinese, Taiwanese, or Hong Kong passport.

Macau tourist visa is required for citizens of French Polynesia.
